Morning Motivation
/Tamla and Donna spent the morning doing exercises and motivation with the residents in the lounge. It is so important for resident well being to keep them active and moving and these parachute exercises are perfect for this!

Tamla arranged for the residents to make cheese straws and scones in the cabin. All thoroughly enjoyed this and cannot wait to make more items!
December at the chestnuts is filled with trips out, entertainment and general enjoyment. Extra food and treats are brought in and we always enjoy a Christmas party!
We enjoyed signing Christmas carols with Meopham choir, all enjoyed themselves and we look forward to welcoming the choir back into the home next year!
On Thursday 10th November 2022 we visited Leyborune lakes for a morning out. All residents enjoyed the fresh air and a walk around the lakes, followed by a cup of tea and cake! Another visit will be arranged soon.
Residents enjoyed this years Halloween, celebrating with a Halloween themed tea and decorations throughout the home!
The residents enjoyed a trip to Chantry School for a delicious roast dinner and to meet all the children. Another wonderful invitation to the school and the residents love interacting with all the children regularly throughout the year, we look forward to our visit at Christmas for carols!
The residents enjoyed going over to Nurstead Church for the Macmillan coffee morning. All enjoyed tea and cake and a natter with the locals.
The residents enjoyed a beautiful lunchtime BBQ in the sun. Staff worked hard to ensure all residents had sausages and burgers to hand and enjoyed music and games in the afternoon.
We enjoyed a morning down the prom, weather was cloudy but warm and residents enjoyed a walk along the river. The prom is always an enjoyable morning out!
We enjoyed a day at the seaside! We visited Herne Bay and enjoyed fish and chips on the seaside and a windy walk along the front!

We enjoyed our favourite trip - a trip down the river on the river boat! All resident enjoyed watching the scenery, drinking tea and eating biscuits! The sun shone bright all afternoon! Another very enjoyable trip!
Chantry came in to see the residents and give them jubilee cards and plants for the garden. Once again a lovely visit from the children and the residents thoroughly enjoyed seeing them all!
The residents enjoyed the Easter weekend! Tamla decorated the home beautifully and provided some excellent entertainment and music!
Residents enjoyed an afternoon of flower arranging with Tamla! Lilian, Betty, Eileen and Eunice all made beautiful displayed which where used for the middle of our tables. Another excellent activity enjoyed by all!
Thanks to Tamla our entertainment lady, the residents enjoyed an afternoon of celebration for St Patricks Day. We had a lovely cake made for us and the residents enjoyed arts and crafts in the afternoon.
The residents enjoyed a Valentines day party and tea organised by Tamla. We are very grateful for the cards that where brought in by Chantry School - the residents loved reading them!
